Housing Rehabilitation Program

The Housing Rehabilitation Program is a 50/50 match grant program that provides between $3,000 to $15,000 towards home improvement projects. 

Applicants must be homeowners within a qualified census tract (QCT) and their household income must be at or below 120% of the Area Median Income (AMI).  

Program Requirements

  • Must be at or below 120% of the area median income (AMI) by household size
  • Must have current homeowners insurance
  • Cannot have any outstanding code violations
  • Cannot owe the City any outstanding debt
  • Must be current on property taxes

Is Your Home in A QCT?

Not sure if your future home is in a Qualified Census Tract? 

1. Go to the Searchable Qualified Census Tract Map.
2. Type the address in the top left corner. Include "Peoria, Illinois" and the zip code.
3. Click "Color QCT Qualified Tracts".
4. If the address is within the purple boundary, it is within a QCT.
