Tip411 Anonymous Tip Reporting & Alerts

The Peoria Police Department is pleased to announce the implementation of a cell phone and web-based application which will allow citizens to report tips to us. Our ability to solve crimes, and create a safer city has a lot to do with the involvement of its citizens.

The Peoria Police Department is embracing new technologies which will allow us to open up a two-way line of communication that will enable citizens to anonymously provide us with information that will assist us in the solving of crimes and create a safer community. You can even attach photographs and videos after you submit an initial tip!

When you submit a tip via any of the three following options, it is sent to a 3rd party tip service, which acts as a privacy buffer between you and the Peoria Police Department in order to protect your identity and your contact information. If you have a tip for the Peoria Police Department, you can utilize any of the three options listed below to help provide vital information on crimes, criminals, or those engaging in illicit or criminal activity which will assist us in keeping the City of Peoria safe for everyone.

This service is being provided to the public for non-emergency use, tips may not be received by us until the following day.

In the event of an emergency, you should always contact 911.

If your situation is not an emergency, but you still need an officer to respond, then you should contact the police department at 309-673-4521.

Option 1 - Submit a Tip Via Text Message

To send an anonymous tip via text message to the Peoria Police Department, text the keyword PEORIAPD and your tip to 847411.

When the text message is sent to the Peoria Police Department the tipster's cellular phone number is completely anonymous and is never received by the Peoria Police Department.

Option 2 - Sign up Online to Send Tips & Receive Alerts

In addition to submitting tips, tip411 assists the Peoria Police Department in communicating with community members on important public safety matters by sending public safety alerts. Community members can sign up for all Peoria Police Department alerts or customize your alerts. Types of alerts may be public safety messages, re-routing traffic due to an accident, or other public safety matters. Please sign up online via the tip411 website.

Option 3 - Download the Peoria Police Department (PD) App

Download the Peoria PD Tips app from Apple App Store or Google Play. This application provides citizens with the ability to submit anonymous tips from their smartphone.

Option 4 - Fill out the Following Form

Use the following form to submit your anonymous tip online. After submitting a tip using the web service, you will be assigned a six digit code with numbers and letters. That is your anonymous ID to log back into the system.
