Committee Overview
The Mayor's Advisory Committee for the Disabled consists of nine members. Four members must have some form of disability. The purpose of the Advisory Committee for the Disabled is:
- To ensure there are public and private services for maintaining and improving the health and welfare of persons with disabilities
- To provide dissemination of information concerning the interests of persons with disabilities
- To promote community and individual activities to stimulate and fulfill the interest of persons with disabilities
- To develop new ways to utilize the talents and resources of community members with disabilities
Meetings
The Mayor's Advisory Committee for the Disabled meets at the following time:
- When: Meetings will take place on the second Tuesday of each month at 4:00 PM.
- Where: Peoria City Hall, 419 Fulton St. Room 404.
