Paint a Plow

Peoria Public Works - Paint a Plow

Program Overview

The city of Peoria Public Works Paint a Plow program allows Peoria organizations to paint a Peoria Public Works snowplow blade with messages of winter, snow and ice safety, City or community pride or patriotism.

The community outreach campaign is designed to build morale and raise awareness for the city of Peoria Public Works Department's winter operations all year long.

The Department reaches out to schools, art classes, nonprofits and after-school programs within the City to paint the blades with original artwork.

When participants have completed their work, the blades will be mounted to a plow truck and used to fight snow and winter weather.

Rules & Guidelines

Messages and designs must be participants' original work and be tasteful and contain no profanity, vulgarity, political or partisan messages.
