Program Overview

PeoriaCorps is a six-month AmeriCorps-based leadership development, a pre-apprenticeship program for those aged 18 to 28 interested in serving their community, developing employability skills, and earning an industry-recognized credential. Participants serve their community, maintain the City's green infrastructure sites and build employability, professional development, and leadership skills. They serve as AmeriCorps members, completing 900 service hours and working toward obtaining an industry-recognized credential in Green Infrastructure through the National Green Infrastructure Certification Program (NGICP).

Americorps_Stackedlogo_NavyMembers receive a Full Uniform, Biweekly Living Allowance, Bus Passes, Career Exploration Opportunities, Monetary Incentives, and upon completion of their 900 service hours, they receive an Educational Scholarship through the Segal AmeriCorps National Service Trust.

PeoriaCorps is an AmeriCorps program provided by Serve Illinois and AmeriCorps National. For more information about PeoriaCorps and how you can apply to join the program, call 309-494-8844 or email PeoriaCorps Program Director Amelia Ohlrogge.
