January 2, 2025 – (Peoria, IL) The city of Peoria requires all non-owner-occupied residential properties to be registered with the city of Peoria. This includes vacant residential property and residential rental property. Registration for non-owner-occupied property is now open and will close on February 28, 2025. Registration forms and additional information can be found on the city of Peoria website.

2025-2026 Registration Renewal Fees:

• Single-Family Properties: $75
• Multi-Family Properties: $75 for first unit, $20/additional unit (ex. Duplex: 2 units - $75 first unit + $20 additional. unit = $95 total due.)

How to Register:

• In-Person: 
  1. For renewals: Bring the list of properties to be renewed to the Office of Accounts Receivable, 419 Fulton St. Rm. 111. 
  2. For new registrations: Bring a completed registration form for the property. (Registration forms are available on the City’s website above)
• Mail: 
  1. For renewals: Include payment and a list of properties you are renewing.
  2.  For new registrations: Include your payment and your completed registration form. 
• Email: 
  1. For renewals and new registrations: Email your property list and/or completed registration forms. Once your registration has been processed, you will receive an invoice and instructions on how to pay via email.
• Drop Box: 
  1. For renewals: Include your payment and list of properties you are renewing.
  2. For new registrations: Include your payment and completed registration form. 
• Exempt Properties: For renewals & new registrations: Email your exempt property address and reason for exemption with your completed registration form

How to Pay:

Check payments should be made to: City of Peoria

• In-Person: 
  1. Pay at the City Treasurer’s Office at 419 Fulton St. Rm. 100, all forms of payment are accepted. 
  2. Treasury’s Hours: 8 a.m. – 12 p.m., 1 p.m. – 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
• Mail: 
  1. Check or money order payment only.
  2.  Mail to: City of Peoria, Office of Accounts Receivable, 419 Fulton St. Rm. 111, Peoria, IL 61602
• Drop Box: 
  1. Check or money order payment only
  2. Located at the front door of City Hall, 419 Fulton Street
