[ARCHIVED] Intersections and Roads to be Impacted on January 20, for Martin Luther King Jr. Freedom March Parad

Beginning at 2 p.m. and lasting until 3 p.m. on Monday, January 20, rolling lane restrictions will go into effect on several City streets for the Martin Luther King Jr. Freedom March Parade sponsored by the King Holiday Committee of Peoria, Bradley University, and Illinois Central College.

Drivers should exercise caution along the route. The use of alternative routes is advised. 

Parade Route

  • The Freedom March Parade will begin on the Bradley University Campus at the Garrett Cultural Center, 824 N. Duryea Place.

  • The parade will travel south on N. Duryea Place before traveling west on W. Moss Avenue. From W. Moss Avenue, the parade will travel south on N. Western Avenue, then west on W. Martin Street before ending at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 305 S. Madison Park Terrace.
