(PEORIA, IL) Sunday, March 2, 2025, at approximately 8:18 p.m. Peoria Police responded to the 600 block of S. Western on a report of a male stabbed.
When officers arrived, they located an adult male (46 years old) with an apparent stab wound to the back. The victim was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.
Members of the Peoria Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division (CID), and Patrol Unit responded to the scene and initiated an investigation.
Police did locate a crime scene in the 2400 block of W. Starr Street. Officers conducted a search of the area for the suspect with negative results.
During the course of the investigation a suspect was identified as 46-year-old Roderick L. Franklin.
Franklin was not located the night of the incident.
The Peoria Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating Franklin. (A photo of Franklin is attached).
This incident remains under investigation. There is currently no suspect information.
