Beginning at 7 am on Monday, March 17, W Moss Avenue will be closed to through traffic from N Western Avenue to N Duryea Place. The closure is necessary for pavement removal work as part of the Moss Avenue – Western Avenue to Sheridan Road – Reconstruction Project and is expected to last through the fall.
Only residential traffic and emergency vehicles will have access while this portion of W Moss Avenue is closed. On-street parking will also not be allowed on this portion of Moss Avenue.
Drivers should utilize all marked detour routes. Drivers should exercise caution in the area and be mindful of the closure. The use of alternative routes is advised.
Detour Route
• Eastbound and westbound through traffic on W Moss Avenue should utilize W Martin Luther King Jr. Drive or W Bradley Avenue from N Western Avenue or N University Street. Northbound traffic on N MacArthur Highway should utilize N Richard Allen Drive to W Romeo B Garrett Avenue to access westbound W Martin Luther King Jr. Drive.
