The City of Peoria Department of Public Works will host a public meeting regarding the City’s municipal separate storm sewer system and combined sewer overflow control program.
The meeting will be held from noon to 1 pm on Thursday, March 20, at the Peoria Public Library Lincoln Branch, Hot Air Balloon Room, 1312 W Lincoln Ave.
The public is encouraged to attend the meeting to learn more about how the City’s storm sewer system functions and how combined sewer overflows are managed. Attendees will learn about the similarities and differences between the two systems and how rainwater affects both.
Representatives from the City’s stormwater and combined sewer overflow programs will be available to answer questions. The meeting will also serve as the Combined Sewer Overflow (CSO) Control Program annual update, where a summary and status of the program will be provided.
