Previously Reported:
(PEORIA, IL) Friday, March 14, 2025, at approximately 9:25 a.m. Peoria Police were dispatched to the intersection of Forrest Hill and N. Knoxville regarding a two-vehicle accident.
When emergency crews arrived, they located both vehicles with significant damage.
The adult male driver of vehicle one sustained serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The adult male driver of vehicle two sustained minor injuries.
Police shut down both northbound and southbound lanes between Forrest Hill and W. Memorial Drive until police cleared the scene.
This incident remains under investigation.
UPDATE: 3/17/25
During the course of this investigation, police learned that the driver of the second vehicle identified as 39-year-old Theron T. Seiber fled the scene of the accident and returned a short time later.
During a search of Seiber’s flight path officers located several bags of cannabis.
Seiber was transported to the Peoria Police Department for interviewing purposes and subsequently arrested for Possession of Cannabis.
He was transported to the Peoria County Jail.
