(PEORIA, IL) Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at approximately 6:51 p.m., Peoria Police were dispatched to the 2000 block of W. Garden on a Shot Spotter alert of one round fired.
When officers arrived at the above location, they observed an adult female identified as 38-year-old Amber D. Phelps fleeing the scene. No one was injured.
A short time later, officers detained Phelps without further incident.
During a search of Phelps officers located a loaded firearm on her person.
Phelps was arrested for Reckless Discharge of a Firearm, Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, No FOID, and Resisting Police.
She was transported to the Peoria County Jail.
