(PEORIA, IL) Saturday, May 17, 2025, at approximately 8:08 p.m., Peoria Police were dispatched to the 600 block of S. Western on a report of a Motor Vehicle Theft.
When officers arrived, they located an adult male who told police he was approached by an unknown male who pointed a gun at him and took his vehicle. The victim was not injured.
During the course of the investigation, officers, with the assistance of a License Plate Reader (LPR), located the stolen vehicle abandoned in the 800 block of W. Hurlburt Street.
This incident is under investigation. There is currently no suspect information.
