(PEORIA, IL) Monday, May 19, 2025, at approximately 8:33 a.m., Peoria Police responded to the 700 block of E. Virginia Avenue on a report of a Burglary that had just occurred.
Peoria Police and Peoria Heights Police located a stolen vehicle at the rear of the business (Commercial/Office Building). The vehicle was reported stolen to the Peoria Heights PD.
During a search of the business, officers located an adult male identified as 29-year-old Bryson R. Lathum inside.
Lathum was in possession of property belonging to the business owner and keys to the stolen vehicle.
Peoria Heights Police arrested Lathum for Unlawful Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle and Unlawful Vehicular Invasion.
Peoria Police arrested Lathum for Criminal Damage to Property and Burglary (2 counts).
He was transported to the Peoria County Jail.
