(PEORIA, IL) Saturday, May 31, 2025, at approximately 1:21 a.m., Peoria Police were conducting a patrol in the 400 block of SW Water Street when they observed a vehicle parked in the back of a lot.
Police approached the vehicle and made contact with two adult males inside.
While speaking with the males, officers found probable cause to search the vehicle and the occupants.
During a search of the subjects’ officers located a loaded handgun with an extended magazine on the person of the passenger, identified as 29-year-old Anton D. Grayson II. The handgun was reported stolen.
Grayson was arrested for Possession of a Stolen Firearm, Possession of a Weapon by a Felon, Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, and No FOID.
He was transported to the Peoria County Jail.
