(PEORIA, IL) February 12, 2025, at approximately 9:41 p.m., Peoria Police took a report from a concerned parent regarding explicit messages via social media sent to a minor child by a named adult.
During the course of the investigation, multiple search warrants were executed on numerous accounts, which were forensically analyzed and reviewed. The suspect was identified as Mario E. Davis, 34 years of age.
June 3, 2025, at approximately 10:30 a.m., Davis was taken into custody in the 7700 block of North Grand Prairie Drive and transported to the Criminal Investigations Division for interview purposes.
Davis was subsequently arrested for Grooming and Indecent Solicitation of a Child as it pertains to PPD Incident #25-2700 and Disorderly Conduct (Filing a False Police Report) in reference to PPD Incident #25-2697, which is directly related to the previously mentioned case. Davis was transported to the Peoria County Jail.
