(PEORIA, IL) Thursday, June 5, 2025, at approximately 10:43 p.m., Peoria Police responded to the 100 block of N. Braves Court on a report of an Armed Vehicular Hijacking.
When officers arrived at the above location, they made contact with the adult male victim, who told police he was approached by an unknown male subject while he was parked at the above location. The suspect ordered the victim out of his vehicle at gunpoint and immediately drove away. The victim was not injured.
During the course of the investigation, police located the stolen vehicle with the assistance of a License Plate Reader (LPR) in the 1000 block of W. Hurlburt.
The suspect was not located.
