(PEORIA, IL) Saturday, June 7, 2025, at approximately 11:35 p.m., Peoria Police were conducting a foot patrol in the 200 block of SW Water Street when they observed a large group gathered.
As officers attempted to make contact with the group, many of the subjects entered their vehicles.
When officers approached one of the vehicles, they made contact with four occupants inside. (three adults and one juvenile)
During a conversation with the occupants, officers found probable cause to search the vehicle.
While conducting a search, police located two loaded firearms inside the vehicle.
Police arrested two adults, identified as 21-year-old Willie J. Irby and 24-year-old Briannon J. Panama.
Officers also arrested the male juvenile.
Irby was subsequently arrested for Unlawful Possession of a Weapon by a Felon, Aggravated Possession of a Weapon, Possession of a Firearm without a Valid FOID Card, and Unlawful Possession of Firearm Ammunition without a FOID Card.
Panama was arrested for Aggravated Unlawful Possession of a Weapon.
The 16-year-old male was arrested for Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Firearm, NO FOID, and Unlawful Possession of a Handgun Under 21.
Both adults were transported to the Peoria County Jail.
The 16-year-old was transported to the Juvenile Detention Center.
