(PEORIA, IL) On Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at approximately 1:30 p.m., Peoria Police observed a wanted juvenile male enter a residence in the 3400 block of W. Oakcrest.
Around 2:30 p.m., members of the Peoria Police Department’s Special Investigations Division (SID), along with the U.S. Marshals Service, approached the residence and made contact with four juveniles inside, including the wanted subject, identified as a 15-year-old male.
A search warrant was executed at the residence, during which officers recovered a firearm with a defaced serial number.
All four juveniles (ages 14-15) were taken into custody without incident and transported to the Peoria Police Department for interview purposes.
A 15-year-old male was arrested for the following offenses and transported to Woodford County for processing:
• Attempted Motor Vehicle Theft (Case #24-20109)
• Motor Vehicle Theft (Case #24-19901)
• Motor Vehicle Theft (Case #25-2083)
• Peoria County Warrant-Possession of a Stolen Handgun (24JD334)
• Woodford County Warrant-Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle (25JD16)
Additionally, a 14-year-old male was arrested for Possession of a Stolen Firearm (#25-14152) and transported to the Peoria County Juvenile Detention Center.
The other two juveniles were released to their guardians.
