(PEORIA, IL) On Monday, August 11, 2025, at approximately 4:50 p.m., Peoria Police officers responded to the 3000 block of N. Woodbine Avenue regarding a report of a male armed with a knife.
Upon arrival, officers determined that the individual, identified as 25-year-old Jacob Hudson, had barricaded himself inside a residence while armed with a knife and had poured a flammable liquid throughout the home.
For approximately four hours, police negotiators worked to de-escalate the situation.
Eventually, Hudson agreed to exit the residence and surrendered peacefully. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to a local hospital for evaluation. No injuries were reported.
