(PEORIA, IL) On Friday, September 12, 2025, at approximately 10:37 p.m., Peoria Police officers were dispatched to the 1800 block of S. Griswold Avenue on a report of an armed robbery at Griswold Liquors.
Upon arrival, officers spoke with an employee who reported that a male suspect wearing a black mask entered the business and displayed a handgun. The business owner complied with the suspect’s demands, and the suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. The victim was not injured.
Officers conducted a search of the area; however, the suspect was not located. At this time, there is no suspect information available.
This incident remains under active investigation.
