(PEORIA, IL) On Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at approximately 6:07 a.m., officers with the Peoria Police Department were dispatched to the 800 block of S. Western Avenue following a ShotSpotter alert indicating two rounds had been fired.
Upon arrival, officers conducted a thorough search of the area; however, no victims were located.
A short time later, officers were dispatched to the 3000 block of W. Malone Avenue in reference to a male subject suffering from a gunshot wound.
Upon arrival, officers located a 32-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the wrist. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
At this time, there is no suspect information. This incident is currently under investigation.
