(PEORIA, IL) On Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at approximately 7:36 a.m., Peoria Police officers were dispatched to the 2400 block of N. Sheridan Road regarding a report of shots fired.
Upon arrival, officers located a 15-year-old male inside a residence with an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The identity of the victim and the official cause of death will be released by the Peoria County Coroner.
Members of the Peoria Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division (CID), Crime Scene Unit (CSU), and Patrol Unit responded to the scene and initiated an investigation.
At this time, there is no suspect information. This incident remains under active investigation.
