Full-Size Detour Map
Beginning at 6:30 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 13, traffic patterns will change on N. MacArthur Highway. The southbound lane of N. MacArthur Highway will close to all traffic between W. John H. Gwynn Jr. Avenue and W. Hurlburt Street.
N. MacArthur Highway will shift to one-way, northbound traffic only between W. John H. Gwynn Jr. Avenue and W. Hurlburt Street. W. John H. Gwynn Jr. Avenue will reopen to traffic at N. MacArthur Highway.
Business access will be maintained. Entry and exit into the Valley Park Shopping Center should be made from W. John H. Gwynn Jr. Avenue. Entry and exit into the Valeska Hinton Early Childhood School parking lot should be made from N. Richard Pryor Place.
Drivers should utilize all marked detour routes. Drivers should use caution in the area and be mindful of the closure. The use of alternative routes is advised.
Detour Route
- Southbound through traffic on N. MacArthur Highway should utilize Main Street to S.W. Monroe Street to W. Romeo B. Garrett Avenue to N. Richard Pryor Place to Jefferson Avenue.
- Northbound through traffic on N. MacArthur Highway should utilize Hurlburt Street to N. Richard Pryor Place to W. Romeo B. Garrett Avenue to S.W. Monroe Street to Main Street.
