(PEORIA, IL) On Thursday, November 13, 2025, at approximately 7:04 a.m., Peoria Police responded to the 1800 block of W. Memorial Drive regarding a report of a male causing a disturbance.
Upon arrival, officers made contact with a 31-year-old female who reported that the suspect, identified as 26-year-old Ignacio O. Arreguin, was inside a hotel room with three children and was armed with a handgun.
As officers attempted to make contact with Arreguin, he fled from the room. Officers pursued and quickly apprehended him without further incident.
During a subsequent search of the hotel room, officers located illegal narcotics and a stolen handgun.
Arreguin was arrested for Aggravated Domestic Battery, Armed Violence, Endangering the Health and Life of a Child (three counts), Unlawful Possession of a Weapon by a Felon, Possession of a Stolen Firearm, and Possession of a Controlled Substance. He was transported to the Peoria County Jail.
