The City of Peoria’s trash hauler, GFL, will not collect recycling, yard waste, or trash on Thanksgiving, Thursday, Nov. 27. This schedule change will delay service by one day for the remainder of the week.
Residents with a Thursday pick-up will have their collection on Friday, Nov. 28, and residents with a Friday pick-up will have their collection on Saturday, Nov. 29.
To avoid missing a collection, recycling, yard waste, and trash containers must be set out as early as 3 p.m. the day before pickup and no later than 6 a.m. on your scheduled day. After pickup, move your containers from the curb or alley within 24 hours. Please place them in your garage or alongside your house or garage. Please do not leave containers on the street or sidewalk.
