Nov. 30, 2025 (Peoria, IL) With yesterday’s snow ending in the evening and Public Works crews working throughout the night, the City’s main arterial roads are in good condition and very drivable.
Treatment of neighborhood streets began around midnight last night. Crews are working to clear and treat all residential routes throughout the City and will focus their efforts on these streets today. The City’s Snowfighters remain on 12-hour, around-the-clock operations and will be until further notice.
While overall road conditions are in decent condition, caution is still necessary as several neighborhood roads remain snow-covered and slippery. Conditions will continue to improve throughout the morning and day, especially on neighborhood streets as crews make their way through the routes.
While no City-wide parking ban is in effect, if possible, please consider moving any vehicles off the street to allow plow drivers to better clear the roads.
Please remember to give yourself extra time and use extra caution while traveling today, as slick spots are present. Use caution when turning into and out of neighborhoods and give yourself extra distance between yourself and other vehicles on the road.
Drive slowly, stay safe, and have a great day!
