(PEORIA, IL) On Thursday, December 18, 2025, at approximately 6:10 p.m., Peoria Police officers responded to a report of a motor vehicle theft that had just occurred in the 1100 block of W. Thrush Street.
A short time later, officers located the stolen vehicle abandoned in the 2100 block of Underhill Street and observed seven male subjects fleeing the area on foot upon police contact.
Following a brief foot pursuit, officers apprehended four suspects in the 1200 block of W. Brons Avenue. The individuals taken into custody included three 16-year-old males and one 17-year-old male.
The juveniles were transported to the Peoria Police Department for interviews. All four were arrested on charges of Motor Vehicle Theft, Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle, Criminal Damage to Property, and Resisting a Peace Officer.
One of the 16-year-old males was transported to the Juvenile Detention Center. The remaining juveniles were released to the custody of their legal guardians.
