[ARCHIVED] 4:30 p.m. | 1/25/26 | Snowstorm and Road Condition Update

Public Works Logo

Following the conclusion of today’s snowfall, Public Works crews began entering residential neighborhoods this afternoon. Residential plowing operations remain the primary focus throughout the evening and overnight hours.

As crews continue neighborhood plowing operations, residents are encouraged to utilize off-street parking whenever possible. Residential streets that are free and clear of parked vehicles allow crews to plow more efficiently and provide more effective snow removal.

Residents are encouraged to be good neighbors by clearing sidewalks adjacent to their homes, helping to ensure safe passage for pedestrians.

Drivers should remain especially cautious this evening and during tomorrow morning’s commute, as melting snow and treated road surfaces may refreeze as temperatures drop, creating slick and icy conditions.

Please continue to drive cautiously and remain aware of changing road conditions. For more information about the City’s winter operations, call 309-494-8850.
