(PEORIA, IL) On Sunday, February 1, 2026, at approximately 11:34 p.m., Peoria Police officers were dispatched to the 4000 block of N. University Street in reference to a vehicle that had struck a residence.
Upon arrival, officers located a vehicle with significant damage parked in the front yard of the residence. The driver had fled the scene on foot prior to police arrival.
A short time later, officers located the suspect with the assistance of a police drone. The suspect was identified as 20-year-old Keinno J. Johnson.
Johnson was taken into custody and arrested for Failure to Remain at the Scene of an Accident, Resisting Arrest, Obstructing Justice, and an active warrant. He was transported to the Peoria County Jail.
