(PEORIA, IL) Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at approximately 5:53 p.m. Peoria Police were called to the 7500 block of N. University on a report of a male shot.
When officers arrived, they located an adult male victim with an apparent gunshot wound. While on the scene, officers located a second victim with apparent gunshot wounds in the immediate area. The second victim was also an adult male.
Both victims were transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.
Members of the Peoria Police Department’s Special Investigations Division (SID), Criminal Investigations Division (CID), Patrol Unit and Crime Scene Unit (CSU) responded to the scene and initiated an investigation.
Currently there is no suspect information. This incident is under investigation.
