(PEORIA, IL) Saturday, September 23, 2023, at approximately 12:53 p.m. Peoria Police responded to the 900 block of S. Warren on a Shot Spotter alert of two rounds fired. Seconds later, a second Shot Spotter alert came in indicating ten rounds fired from the same location.
When officers arrived, they located a wrecked vehicle in the area where the shots occurred. Police did not locate a victim or suspect.
A
short time later officers learned that an adult male was transported to a local hospital by private vehicle. The victim had been shot and has serious injuries.
This incident is under investigation. Currently, there is no suspect information.
