(PEORIA, IL) Monday, October 30, 2023, at approximately 2:25 a.m. Peoria Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at the intersection of Spalding and Glen Oak for a traffic violation.
When officers approached the vehicle, they observed a 9mm handgun inside.
The
driver of the vehicle identified as 27-year-old Malik A. Jackson was detained without incident.
Jackson was subsequently arrested for Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon and Possession of a Firearm without a Valid FOID Card.
Jackson was transported to the Peoria County Jail.
