(PEORIA, IL) Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at approximately 6:30 a.m. officers with Peoria SWAT and Special Investigations Division (SID) executed a search warrant at a residence connected to the illegal sale of drugs in the 1700 block of W. Kettelle.
When
officers arrived, they made contact and detained the suspect, identified as 31-year-old Vincent J. Hardin without incident.
During a search of the residence officers located and seized a loaded handgun (the handgun was reported stolen), crystal methamphetamine, methamphetamine pills,
cannabis, drug equipment, drug packaging, and a large amount of currency.
Hardin was transported to the Peoria Police Department for interviewing purposes and subsequently arrested for Unlawful Possession of a Weapon by a Felon, Armed Violence, Possession of Methamphetamine (2 counts), Delivery of Methamphetamine
(2 counts), Possession of Cannabis, Delivery of Cannabis, and Possession of a Stolen Firearm. Hardin also has two active warrants and a hold from the Illinois Department of Corrections.
He was transported to the Peoria County Jail.
