(PEORIA, IL) Monday, February 5, 2024, at approximately 3:57 p.m. Peoria Police were dispatched to the 2500 block of W. Townline Drive regarding a 3-vehicle crash that involved a Dunlap school bus with students on board.
When officers arrived, they determined the school bus was involved in a crash on the roadway and as a result, the bus struck a nearby business.
Several students were transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Two adults were also transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
No one inside the business was injured.
Peoria Fire Department, AMT, Dunlap school officials, and Peoria County Sheriff’s Deputies assisted on the scene.
The cause of the crash is currently under investigation.
