(PEORIA, IL) Saturday, March 16, 2024, at approximately 12:43 a.m. Peoria Police observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed on Garden near Griswold.
Officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop when the vehicle pulled into the driveway of a residence in the 1100 block of S. Folkers Avenue.
When
officers approached the vehicle, the driver identified as 21-year-old Jermaine D. Mack attempted to exit the vehicle but was detained by police.
During a search of the vehicle officers located and seized a loaded firearm and a loaded magazine inside.
Mack was arrested for Unlawful Possession of a Weapon by a Felon, Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, No FOID, Obstructing/Resisting Police, No Insurance, and other IVC offenses.
Mack was transported to the Peoria County Jail.
