(PEORIA, IL) Friday, March 29, 2024, at approximately 2:58 a.m. Peoria Police were dispatched to the 1400 block of W. Glen on a report of a motor vehicle theft that had just occurred.
During the course of this investigation, officers located the stolen vehicle abandoned in the 1400 block of Candlelight Court.
During a search of the area, officers observed two male juveniles, ages 16 and 17, walking from the area where the stolen vehicle was located.
While conducting a search of the juvenile’s flight path officers located several stolen items.
Both juveniles were taken into custody and subsequently arrested for Motor Vehicle Theft, Burglary to a Motor Vehicle (2 counts), and Possession of Stolen Property.
The juveniles were transported to the Juvenile Detention Center.
