Beginning at noon and lasting until 8 pm on Thursday, April 25, SW Madison Avenue will be closed to through traffic between Fulton Street and Main Street. Fulton Street also will be closed to through traffic between SW Monroe Street and SW Jefferson Avenue.
During this time, there will be no on-street parking between the closed areas on SW Madison Avenue and Fulton Street. Access to City Hall’s parking lot, Twin Towers parking deck, and the Marriott Hotels Parking Deck will be maintained.
These closures are necessary for the SkillsUSA Illinois Skills Fest Championships. Drivers should be mindful of these closures and watch for bagged “No Parking” meters.
