(PEORIA, IL) Friday, May 24, 2024, at approximately 12:00 p.m. Peoria Police were dispatched to the 1900 block of Knoxville on a report of a vehicle theft that had just occurred.
When officers arrived, the vehicle and suspect were not located.
At
approximately 6:16 p.m. Officers with the assistance of a License Plate Reader (LPR) located the stolen vehicle in the 1800 block of N. Wisconsin. The suspect identified as 25-year-old Thomas M. Dooley was taken into custody without incident.
Dooley was arrested for Unlawful Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle, and Motor Vehicle Theft.
He was transported to the Peoria County Jail.
