(PEORIA, IL) Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at approximately 1:55 p.m. members of the Peoria Police Department’s Special Investigations Division (SID) made contact with a juvenile in the 1900 block of W. Proctor.
During a search of the 17-year-old male officers located a loaded handgun on his person. The handgun was found to be stolen.
The
juvenile was taken into custody and transported to the Peoria Police Department for interviewing purposes. The juvenile was subsequently arrested for Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, No FOID, Possession of a Handgun Under 21, Possession of a Stolen Firearm, and Resisting Arrest.
The juvenile was then transported to the Juvenile Detention Center.
