(PEORIA, IL) Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at approximately 5:53 p.m. members of the Peoria Police Department’s Special Investigations Division (SID) conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 2500 block of N. Gale.
During the stop officers made contact with two adult males and a male juvenile inside.
Police then determined probable cause to search the vehicle where illegal drugs were located. All three subjects were detained.
During a search of the males, officers located a loaded firearm on the person of 21-year-old D’Couryon D. Wren.
Wren was subsequently arrested for Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon.
The driver identified as 21-year-old Breyon M. Toles was arrested for Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance and Driving without a Driver’s License.
The juvenile (15 years old) was not charged and was later released into the custody of a parent.
Wren and Toles were transported to the Peoria County Jail.
