(PEORIA, IL) Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at approximately 8:28 p.m. Peoria Police were dispatched to the 400 block of W. Wilcox regarding a domestic dispute between an adult male and an adult female.
When officers arrived, they located a male matching the suspect description. The male identified as 40-year-old Deontrae M. Jordan was immediately taken into custody without incident. Officers also located a loaded handgun
near Jordan.
The female sustained minor injuries and refused medical treatment.
Jordan was subsequently arrested for Aggravated Domestic Battery, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon by a Felon, Aggravated Assault, Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, and Attempted First Degree Murder.
He was transported to the Peoria County Jail.
