The city of Peoria Community Development Department is hosting its annual Great Neighbor Appreciation Week from July 15th through July 20th. Great Neighbor Appreciation Week is a weeklong celebration of the community members, businesses, and nonprofit organizations who make Peoria a great place to live.
Saturday, July 13: Riverfront Market | 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Staff will have a table at the Riverfront Market promoting the week and encouraging community members to complete the HUD Consolidated Plan Survey.
Monday, July 15: Nonprofit Appreciation Day
Community Development staff will be visiting nonprofits thanking them for all the work they do.
Tuesday, July 16: Code Encouragement Day
Staff will be handing out Good Job Door Hangers to neighbors who go above and beyond to maintain their yards and their properties.
Wednesday, July 17: Local Business Appreciation Day
Community Development staff will be visiting small and local businesses thanking them for all the work they do.
Thursday, July 18: Parks on Tap at Morton Square Park | 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Staff will have a table at Parks on Tap promoting the Citywide Cleanup and encouraging community members to complete the HUD Consolidated Plan survey.
Friday, July 19: Code Encouragement Day
Staff will be handing out Good Job Door Hangers to neighbors who go above and beyond to maintain their yards and their properties.
Saturday, July 20: City-Wide Cleanup | 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM
