Phone Outages at the City of Peoria : non-emergency numbers and 9-1-1 center impacted

Due to last night’s storms, the city is experiencing phone issues with non-emergency numbers and the 9-1-1 center.

Phone lines are down for the Police Department non-emergency number (309-673-4521) and the Fire Department non-emergency number (309-674-3131)

Due to a widespread AT&T outage, phone calls from that carrier are not going through to 9-1-1.  Caller using AT&T will still receive assistance.  Any call that does not go through to 9-1-1 will be returned by a dispatcher.   Dispatchers use a program called Rapid SOS, which allows them to see phone numbers and return calls immediately.

Residents who need to report downed tree or limb blocking a street, alley, or sidewalk should contact Public Works at 309-494-8800
