Offense: Reckless Discharge/Aggravated UUW/Incident # 24-15154
Friday, July 19, 2024, at approximately 7:26 p.m. Peoria Police responded to the 900 block of W. Smith regarding a Shot Spotter alert of 3 rounds fired.
When officers arrived, they observed a juvenile male fleeing the area. After a brief foot chase the juvenile (13 years old) was apprehended in the 1000 block of W. Adrian Hinton. After searching the flight path of the suspect officers located
and seized a discarded firearm. The juvenile was arrested for Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Reckless
Discharge, Possession of a Handgun Under 21, and No FOID.
He was transported to the Juvenile Detention Center.
• Offense: Burglary Arrests/Incident # 24-15163
Friday, July 19, 2024, at approximately 9:06 p.m. Peoria Police were dispatched to the 2900 block of SW Adams on a call of a business burglary in progress (Economy Autobody). One adult male identified as 19-year-old Tavion L. Evans was apprehended and arrested for Burglary, Resisting Police, and Criminal Damage to
Property. Police also arrested an adult female identified as 22-year-old Keiona M. Martin for Burglary, Resisting Police, and Criminal Damage to Property. Both subjects were transported to the Peoria County Jail.
• Offense: Shooting Investigation/Incident #24-15229
Saturday, July 20, 2024, at approximately 7:09 p.m. Peoria Police responded to the 1200 block of W. Millman regarding a Shot Spotter alert of 3 rounds fired. When officers arrived on the scene, they located an adult male with an apparent gunshot wound.
The victim was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. Members of the Peoria Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division (CID), Special Investigations Division (SID), Crime Scene Unit (CSU), and Patrol Unit responded to the scene and initiated an investigation. This incident is under investigation.

Sunday, July 21, 2024, at approximately 3:25 a.m. Peoria Police were dispatched to the 400 block of SW Jefferson on a report of a fight inside a local business (Big Al’s). When officers arrived, they heard gunshots being fired from inside the building. No one was injured. This incident is under investigation. There is currently no suspect
information.
• Offense: Aggravated Battery with a Firearm/Incident #24-15258
Sunday, July 21, 2024, at approximately 3:35 a.m. Peoria Police responded to a Shot Spotter alert of 12 rounds fired in the 900 block of W. Hurlbert. While en route to the above location, officers were informed that an adult male (25- years old) was
transported to a local hospital by private vehicle. The victim’s injuries are non-life-threatening. This incident is under investigation. There is currently no suspect information.
• Offense: Aggravated Battery with a Firearm/Incident #24-15316
Sunday, July 21, 2024, at approximately 10:07 p.m. Peoria Police were dispatched to a local hospital regarding an adult male (34 years old) who was transported by private vehicle with a gunshot wound to the wrist. The victim’s injury is non-life-threatening.
There is currently no suspect information. This incident is under investigation.
