[ARCHIVED] 8/7/24 Aggravated Discharge (UPDATE )

Previously Reported:
(PEORIA, IL) Sunday, July 21, 2024, at approximately 3:25 a.m. Peoria Police were dispatched to the 400 block of SW Jefferson on a report of a fight inside a local business (Big Al’s). 
When officers arrived, they heard gunshots being fired from inside the building. No one was injured.
This incident is under investigation. There is currently no suspect information.

UPDATE 8/6/24
During the course of this investigation, detectives identified the suspect as 42-year-old Jerry Watson.
On 8/5/24 Peoria Police took Watson into custody in the 5400 block of Cypress Drive without incident.
Watson was transported to the Peoria Police Department for interviewing purposes and subsequently arrested for Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm, Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Unlawful Use of a Weapon by a Felon, and Reckless Conduct.
He was transported to the Peoria County Jail.
This incident remains under investigation.

Update 8/7/24
During the course of this investigation, Detectives identified a female involved with this incident that obstructed the investigation.
The female, identified as 45-year-old Renee Cipolla, turned herself in to the Peoria Police this morning.
Cipolla was subsequently arrested for Obstructing Justice.
Cipolla was transported to the Peoria County Jail.
