(PEORIA, IL) Thursday, August 8, 2024, at approximately 8:05 p.m. members of the Peoria Police Department’s Special Investigations Division (SID) located a vehicle associated with a wanted subject in the 3300 block of N. Sterling.
Police approached the vehicle and took the wanted subject identified as 22-year-old Trayshawn J. Bailey into custody without incident.
During a search of the vehicle, officers located a loaded handgun inside.
Bailey was transported to the Peoria Police Department for interviewing purposes and subsequently arrested for Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon by a Felon (2 counts), Aggravated Assault, Criminal Damage to Property,
Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, several traffic violations, and an Active Warrant.
Bailey was transported to the Peoria County Jail.
