(PEORIA, IL) Sunday, August 18, 2024, at approximately 5:31 a.m. Peoria Police were dispatched to the intersection of Main and Monroe on a report of shots fired.
When police arrived, they did not locate any victims or suspects.
Officers then conducted a search of the area and located nearly two dozen cartridge casings at the intersection.
During the course of this investigation, Peoria Detectives identified 26-year-old Quovideous A.V. Pierson as a suspect in this case.
On Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at approximately 6:25 p.m. detectives located Pierson in the 2100 block of W. Callender Avenue in West Peoria.
Pierson was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Peoria Police Department for interviewing purposes.
He was subsequently arrested for Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm, Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, and No FOID.
Pierson was transported to the Peoria County Jail.
This incident remains under investigation.
