Friday, August 30, 2024, at approximately 2:32 a.m. Peoria Police were dispatched to the 500 block of Main Street on a report of a person shot.
When
officers arrived, they located an adult male victim (45 years old) down with an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Members of the Peoria Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division (CID), Special Investigations Division (SID), Crime Scene Unit (CSU), and Patrol Unit responded to the scene and initiated an investigation.
There is currently no suspect information. This incident is under investigation.
