(PEORIA, IL) Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at approximately 5:30 a.m. members of the Peoria Police Department’s Special Investigations Division (SID) and SWAT executed a search warrant at a residence in the 400 block of E. Republic Street.
When officers entered the residence, they located and seized illegal drugs, one handgun, two rifles, one starter pistol, drug equipment, and multiple rounds of ammunition. Police also made contact with 61-year-old Marvin L. Carter while inside the residence.
Carter was transported to the Peoria Police Department for interviewing purposes and subsequently arrested for Unlawful Use of a Weapon by a Felon (3 counts), Armed Violence, Possession of Methamphetamine, and Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Deliver.
